Stuart Ward resigns as Chief Administrative Officer of the Adult Parole Board

Stuart Ward has resigned as Chief Administrative Officer of the Adult Parole Board following his appointment as Deputy Chair of the Post Sentence Authority.

Mr Ward’s last day at the Adult Parole Board was 28 June 2019 before he commenced his new role at the Post Sentence Authority on 1 July 2019.

Mr Ward joined the Adult Parole Board in September 2014 and, over the past five years, was instrumental in guiding the parole reforms and transforming the Board into a modern and effective decision-making authority.

The Adult Parole Board is much better positioned now than it was five years ago and has become recognised – both nationally and internationally – as a leader of best practice.

The Adult Parole Board acknowledges Mr Ward’s commitment and everything he has done for the Board and Secretariat over the past five years and wishes him well in his new role at the Post Sentence Authority.

A recruitment process for the Chief Administrative Officer is currently underway.
